Geoff is a founder member of Tanninzie, having sung and played with the band from 1971 to 1975.
An accomplished vocalist and acoustic guitarist, Geoff’s capacity to weave intricate high harmonies around Fiona’s melody lines was quickly noticed and appreciated.
Geoff performed with the band through the years when it was establishing its place on the Scottish folk circuit – playing gigs, tours and festivals the length and breadth of the country.
In 1975, however, the lure of a life in Canada proved just too strong and Geoff headed off to pastures new, his Hagstrom tucked under his arm.

Thankfully for us, Geoff keeps in close contact and has returned to Scotland a few times for some sessions when we’ve spent many very pleasant hours reprising the original Tanninzie sound.
